George T. Stagg Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 2013 Release

Released in Fall 2013 as an offering from Buffalo Trace Distillery’s Antique Collection line-up of rare and highly collectible whiskey bourbons, 2013 George T Stagg Straight bourbon is comprised of a mash bill containing an undisclosed percentage of corn, rye, and malted barley and is aged for 15 + years in #4 char casks with a barrel finish strength of 128.2% proof. With a limited batch of just 157 barrels, 2013 G. T Stagg straight bourbon is a limited-run edition to this annual release series. The aroma opens with warm fudge over vanilla, slivers of aged oak, and butterscotch coated cherries layered with clove spiced raisins. The taste exudes hits of dark fruits, smoked tobacco, and sweetly toasted sugar.
